Partners and families need access to social, cultural and educational opportunities to thrive and feel part of their new community.

RDN can support your partner and family by accessing information and a range of referral and support services designed to enhance the lives of health families in rural communities.

RDN also offers financial grants to eligible applicants to assist partners and families to adjust to living in rural NSW.

Partner education

Up to $1,000 is available to the partners of rural primary health care professionals to assist with training and education expenses to enhance their career and employment opportunities while living in a rural location.

Family support

Up to $500 is available to families of rural primary health care professionals to help with settlement and integration into a rural community.

The Rural Family Medical Network (RMFN)

An RDN advisory group which also provides support to partners and families of the rural health workforce.
