NSW Rural Doctors Network (RDN) provides customised support on the multiple facets of GP Locum recruitment to practices across remote, rural and regional NSW and Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services (ACCHSs) in NSW.
Our support, which is all free of charge, includes:
- a dedicated locum team that sources suitable locums for your practice
- promotion of your GP Locum vacancies in RDN’s fortnightly e-newsletter, which attracts more than 800 subscribers
- advertising your vacancies and assisting with the development and placement of tailored GP Locum advertisements
- supporting you to assess an applicant’s CV for locum suitability
- facilitating provider numbers for eligible non-vocationally registered doctors
- travel and remote subsidies for eligible doctors to offset costs and promote direct placements, avoiding extensive agency fees
- information to assist your practice with the orientation of locums
- feedback sourced directly from the locum GP giving you the opportunity to enhance placements and increase return of service.
RDN is a not-for-profit organisation. Its services are delivered in partnership and with support from the Australian Government Department of Health (DoH), the NSW Ministry of Health (MoH) and various community organisations. Recruitment support services are funded and subsequently provided free of charge. Some additional services may attract a fee where necessary.
